Module 1- Introduction of Fashion and Evolution of Fashion
Fashion is an ever-changing industry that has evolved dramatically over the years. It is a reflection of our society’s values, beliefs, and culture. In this module, I will take you on a journey through the decades and explore the evolution of fashion.
Module 2- Fashion Illustration and Sketching
In this module, I will help you to understand how to visualise and express your creativity. You will be guided through the process of sketching from your imagination and creating designs on silhouettes.
Module 3- Basic Silhouettes
In this module, I will introduce you to all the basic fashion silhouettes- dress, sleeves, necklines etc. so you are familiar with all clothing silhouettes. How to identify different dress silhouettes while considering your sense of beauty, style, and personal preference when choosing what to wear.
Module 4- Womens Wear
In this module I will introduce you to all aspects of women’s wear including intricate detailing, fabrics and embroideries.
Module 5- Mens Wear
Here I will guide you through different silhouettes and detailing in mens wear fashion, more about the fabrics used and accessories for men.
Module 6- Introduction to Styling
In this module you will learn about fashion styling, the main aspects of styling and skills required to be a fashion stylist and take your fashion business ahead since the essence of fashion lies in styling.
Module 7- Bridal Wear and Weddings
In this module I will share my experiences and in depth knowledge of the wedding industry as a whole and bridal wear in particular. How to put together an entire look from hair and make up, accessories and footwear for the bride and her entourage.
Module 8- Multichannel Retail
In this module, I will help you to identify the target client profiles and take you through product promotion and monitoring sales. This will also cover retail processes among other things.
Module 9- Visual Merchandising
In this module, I will take you through the techniques of visual merchandising, which are currently used in the retail industries across. This will cover the creation of floor layouts, effective customer flow, building a strong brand identity and strong messaging with sale window displays.
Module 10- Preparation for Fashion Shows
In this module, I will introduce you to the glamorous and not so glamorous world of fashion shows. Why it is important for a designer, how to create an entire collection from styling, model selection, what the press is looking for, PR representation and almost everything about how the show functions- pre show, backstage and onstage ramp presence, including contingency planning.
Module 11- Introduction to Pattern making & Tailoring
In this module you will learn to take measurements, drape a mannequin etc etc

Daphne Gomes – After graduating with a degree in Fashion Design and Manufacturing from the prestigious Sophia College, Daphne went on to pursue a career as a fashion designer where she spent the initial years getting first hand experience in production by working as a merchandiser in Asia’s largest production factory. Then she ventured into the big world of fashion business, setting up her own workshop with tailoring and intricate hand embroidery artisans to create bespoke fashion garments for clients from across the world. Daphne was a lecturer in fashion design and manufacturing at three prestigious institutes in India and UAE where she was imparting her knowledge to students from all nationalities while simultaneously creating bespoke fashion garments. Daphne has also successfully led the team on the region’s biggest wedding and lifestyle event in the UAE for several years hosting international designers and wedding suppliers. To widen her knowledge she completed a course in styling – Professional Photo, Film, TV & Personal Stylist from the British College of Professional Styling while she lived in London the past few years. Having spent over 25 years living in Dubai and London, gave her wider exposure in the international fashion and Lifestyle industry.
